Referrals
A person may be appropriate for referral to Dunn Center for any of the following:
- A Child is in danger of being removed from the home
- A child is experiencing serious emotional problems
- Drug and/or Alcohol Addiction
- Aging difficulties
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Long term mental illness
Programs and staff vary. The following is what a consumer might expect when utilizing Dunn Center services:
- Phone for appointment (wait time is approximately a week to ten days)
Initial Assessment. (one time) - A Treatment Plan is written by the person providing the initial assessment. This plan is developed with the consumer.
- Individual Therapy (or Group therapy) will occur weekly or twice a month.
- If medication is needed, the consumer is referred to Medical Services for an appointment with a Clinical Nurse Specialist or Psychiatrist.
- Medication Appointments - depending upon appointment availability - will occur approximately once a month.
